The Cookie Program can be a very Rewarding Experience!

The Cookie Program can be a very Rewarding Experience!     Girl Scouts Isabella I. and Maya T. both earned a trip to Niagara Falls last year by each selling over 4,000 boxes of cookies. These go-getters are real goal getters, too! They each set their sights on a goal and achieved it. What did Isabella take away from this awesome trip? "I really enjoyed going on the Niagara Falls trip this year. I was very excited to have another top seller, Maya, on the trip with me to experience the many attractions in Niagara. There were so many fun things to do; my favorite was the ghost tour because there were always interesting facts and cool stories which created a great experience."

By: Isabella I, Troop 2185 Every year, I sell a lot of Girl Scout Cookies . The number one question I get is “how”? First, I look at the number of Cookies I sold the previous year. Then I add to that number, and that creates my goal. During Cookie season I dedicate all my free time to selling. I wear Cookie costumes. Congratulations Girl Scouts of Nassau County ! Our Girl Scout Troops rocked the Cookie Program. Standing strong through the Polar Vortex and numerous snow storms, we were able to rise to the challenge, learn the 5 Skills and reach our goals. In 2014 Girl Scouts in Nassau County sold 1,151,620 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies . Of those boxes sold, 62,020 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies were donated to GSNC’s Operation Cookie program so that our servicemen and women stationed abroad as well as nearby military bases can enjoy a special “taste of home.” This year those in the 500+ Club were recognized at a dessert reception at the Chateau Briand, and had their photo taken with Donna Ceravolo, CEO.   The girls who sold 1000+ boxes will be treated to an "elegant day in Manhattan" later this month that will include a private museum tour and High Tea at The Pierre!   Name Association 500+ Boxes Brooke B.
