Ways to Say “Thank You” to Your Girl Scout Volunteer

Every Girl Scout Leader is a devoted volunteer that spends countless hours, planning, coaching, and mentoring their Girl Scouts.  Girl Scout Leaders provide opportunities for friendship, leadership, business skill development, creativity and exploration.  Girl Scouting would not exist without the countless volunteers that step forward to assume these responsibilities.

Would you like to show your appreciation to your Leader?  There are many simple ways such as:

  • sending an e-bouquet of flowers
  • writing a personal note
  • planning a thank you party
  • nominating them for a GSUSA Adult Girl Scout Award/Recognition

GSUSA Adult Girl Scout Awards include the Appreciation, Honor, and Thanks Awards and the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Continuing Service Pin.  All of these awards are received through nominations from girls, parents and other Girl Scout Volunteers. Time is running out! Nominations are due by January 10, 2014.  Please take the time to nominate a valued Girl Scout volunteer!

Some Volunteers may not meet the criteria for one of these awards; however, they might qualify for the GSUSA Exceptional Volunteer Award.  This award is also based on nomination, but it is given to each nominated volunteer at their own association end of year dinner.  There is no deadline for this nomination and can be submitted using the Nomination Form.
