Congratulations to all of our Robotic Teams!

With much gratitude, we thank the coaches & mentors for their dedication and for the example they set for the girls. Because of them, the girls had another wonderful season! 

Junior FIRST LEGO League (Jr. FLL) 6-9 years old: EIGHT teams represented GSNC at the 2/28/15 School Business Partnership of LI’s (SBPLI) Jr. FLL EXPO where the girls showcased their LEGO robot design and their research. Here are their awards:

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) 9-14 years old: On 1/31/15 three GSNC teams competed in the SBPLI’s FLL Qualifying Tournament, where the girls showcased their LEGO robot design, their research and invention.
  • Digital DarlingsRobot Mechanical Design Award
  • LEGO ChicksPresentation Award and the Alliance Award
  • Seaford Supernovas also competed and proudly represented GSNC with their invention the SMART DESK!
Digital Darlings and LEGO Chicks moved on to the Championship Competition on 3/1/15 where they gave it their all and had a lot of FUN in the process!


FIRST TECH Challenge (FTC) 9-12 grades: On 1/10/15 the LEGOtronettes hosted their FIRST Annual FLL Scrimmage Event at The Cradle of Aviation, during which they did an amazing job mentoring the girls to prepare them for competition. The LEGOtronettes themselves had another fun season attending several competitions. At the Murry Bergtraum High School Tournament they won the THINK Award & 2nd Place INSPIRE Award and at the New York Polytechnic School of Engineering Tournament they were nominated for the CONNECT Award!

ALL of our teams worked hard and persevered! We congratulate them and thank them for representing GSNC with courage, confidence and character! We are very PROUD of them all!
